Donovan will lead the delivery of clinical data quality and interoperability solutions to the Healthcare ecosystem

WALTHAM, Mass., December 08, 2021--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wolters Kluwer Health today announced that Anne Donovan has joined the organization as Vice President and General Manager for its Health Language business.

The healthcare ecosystem is experiencing a proliferation of non-standard and unstructured clinical data. Health Language is investing in new solutions to optimize reimbursement, compliance, and care coordination for health systems and payers navigating an ever-evolving landscape of government policies. Donovan will lead efforts to expand Health Language’s product lines in clinical natural language processing (cNLP), clinical terminology management and data normalization to new solutions in risk adjustment and quality measurement. These solutions will drive high-quality insights from unstructured and non-standard data to help payers and providers identify areas to optimize care and more accurately assess and address risk in their patient populations.

With over 20 years of experience in analytics, operations, payment optimization and applying advanced technology, Donovan has a proven track record of innovating new solutions and supporting customers through accelerating industry change all while transforming and scaling businesses. Her extensive knowledge and understanding of healthcare financial dynamics and dependencies will create new opportunities for Health Language customers and partners.

"From health systems, to payers and healthcare IT vendors, organizations rely on our expert solutions to unlock the value of healthcare data," said Karen Kobelski, Vice President and General Manager, Clinical Surveillance, Compliance & Data Solutions at Wolters Kluwer, Health. "Anne’s strong applied analytics and health data background will move the business forward with innovative solutions to help customers tackle immediate interoperability challenges while adopting value-based payment models, risk adjustment, and population health initiatives."

Donovan joins Wolters Kluwer from Zelis, a healthcare payments company where she served as Chief Operating Officer of the Payments division and Senior Vice President of Client Success. Previously, she held senior leadership roles at Cotiviti, Anthem, and Capital One.

She holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Information and Decision Systems from Carnegie Mellon University.
