Woman accidentally receives stranger’s Instacart order and is stunned by their taste in groceries
One woman’s recent order mix-up is entertaining TikTok after she gave her followers a little sneak peek at what she received and wound up going viral.
According to Olivia Pascale (@oliviapwong), she opened a recent delivery from Instacart only to discover that the items inside were not the ones she ordered. After looking into it further, it became clear that it was a box meant for someone else, so she contacted the company to rectify the issue.
Instacart told Pascale to keep the box and that Instacart would immediately send out amended boxes. Naturally curious, she decided to see what was inside — especially since it was now all hers and completely free.
First, Pascale pulled out some medicated itch cream called Ditch the Itch.
“Love that,” she said before moving on to another item.
Next was a loaf of Dave’s Killer Bread (which was kind of a score since she already likes it), followed by a bar of milk chocolate and some Italian soda.
“Wait, am I sleeping on Italian soda?” she wondered aloud before reading that it was a “blood orange” flavor.
She became progressively more excited with each item, looking like a kid on Christmas opening surprise gifts.
“Oh! Natalie’s orange juice?” she said after pulling out the next find. “This thing is like $10! I feel like I just hit the jackpot!”
After this, she pulled out tomatoes on the vine, fresh asparagus, a box of pricey organic eggs, blueberries, blackberries, keto-friendly ginger ale and more.
In the end, Pascale looked at the camera while trying to suppress her giddiness.
“I’m so sorry for the person who didn’t get their order, but this is fire,” she concluded. “Thank you for the good grocery haul.”
‘This was like $200…’
In the comments, people seemed equally thrilled for her.
“Wow this entire order was a slay,” one person wrote.
“This was like $200,” another person marveled.
“Why can’t these cool mistakes happen to meeeee,” someone else asked.
A lot of people started to imagine the kind of person who might be on the other end of that Instacart order.
“I wanna be the person who ordered this seems like they have their life together LOL,” one user commented.
“This person hits the gym at least 3 times a week,” another imagined.
“The way I IMMEDIATELY knew this order was from a woman in her 20s living on her own,” someone else mused. “Girl is living her best life.”
“My favorite single female move is boujie groceries,” replied someone else.
