Yahoo Finance Woman finds out she’s 6 months pregnant with ex’s baby, so BFF steps in to help co-parent
This TikTok parent shared the uplifting story of how her best friend stepped in to become her doula and co-parent after her husband left!
Sarah Hallas (@sarahgracehallas) is a parent who shares heartwarming and silly videos of her son, Harvey, and best friend, Enaka, on TikTok. In a recent video, Sarah revealed how Enaka helped her through her pregnancy and birth, and it’s so emotional!

In the video, which racked up 12.6 million views and counting, Sarah reveals that over the course of several months, her husband left her, she found out she was pregnant, and she moved to a new city where Enaka helped her rebuild her life.
The video begins with Sarah sitting in front of the camera, her long red hair falling over her shoulders, as she lip-syncs Sarah Cothran’s adaptation of “Grace Kelly” by Mika. As the song plays, Sarah uses captions to tell her story.
“A year and a half ago, after my ex-husband and I moved into his parents’ house, he said, ‘I don’t want to be married anymore. Find another place to live,’” Sarah writes.
Sarah willingly divorced her husband, but there was something neither Sarah nor her ex-husband knew: Sarah was pregnant. “I signed the divorce papers and moved to Nashville with a friend I met on Instagram, Enaka, only to find out I was 6 months pregnant with my ex’s child a month later,” Sarah explains.

Sarah was terrified when she found out she was pregnant, but Enaka stepped up and helped her every step of the way. “Overnight, I became a single mom with only 3 months to prepare. I had no idea what to do and was so scared [Enaka would] move out and I’d be alone,” writes Sarah. “But Enaka never left my side. She became my doula, stayed with me for 3 days during my labor and even cut Harv’s umbilical cord!”
Over the last year and a half, Enaka has enthusiastically taken on the role of a second parent to Sarah’s son. “She became more than just a roommate,” Sarah explains. “She became Harv’s other parent. Their bond has been inseparable since birth and I even joke that he thinks Enaka is his mom.”
The video ends with Sarah thanking her viewers for all their support. “I decided to post a video of them here on TikTok, and their videos have over 20 million views! Thanks for making love go viral. Can’t wait to share the rest of our story!” she writes.
Viewers were blown away by Sarah’s story, and were particularly impressed with Enaka’s dedication to the new mom!

While Sarah’s journey has been difficult, her story shows that a good friend can make all the difference!
