A true friend decided to surprise her Secret Santa recipient with something extra special (and creative) for the holidays.
Emmy-nominated TV producer Catherine Thoma was involved in a Secret Santa gift exchange and ended up having her name chosen by one of her friends, Katie Kelley. (In case you’re unfamiliar, when you participate in Secret Santa, your name is chosen by someone at random and they surprise you with a gift on a designated reveal day — hence the “secret” in Secret Santa).
As a Secret Santa, Kelley definitely didn’t disappoint. In a now-viral TikTok video posted on Dec. 16, Thoma revealed that her friend spent months setting her up on blind Hinge dates to bring her the “12 Days of Catmas.”

“This is just the secondary gift that’s just because I wanted to do it,” Kelley explains in the video before she hands over her gift. She then presents a poster board with 12 green flaps and explains that she “scoured Hinge” and set Thoma up on 12 FaceTime dates.
When she realizes what her close friend has done, Thoma drops to the floor in disbelief. “No you did not!” she says.
TikTokers were equally shocked and impressed.
“This is better than The Bachelorette,” one person said. “We want to see the dates!”
“This is true friendship,” another added.
“This is the sweetest gift ever!” a third wrote.
Speaking to In The Know, Thoma revealed that she FaceTimed with five of her 12 dates on Dec. 16, and virtually met the rest of them on Dec. 17.
“I love how invested everyone is!” she said. “I’m shook.”

In a follow-up video, Thoma shared some more details about each of her 12 potential men — and TikTokers already have some favorites.
“Team Scott the music teacher,” one person said.
“We stan Greg,” another added. “He looks like he’s got a sense of humor.”
“The doggy day care owner has my heart already,” a third wrote.
If Thoma happens to find her happily ever after from all of this (and we hope she does!), Hallmark better give us the movie version in time for Christmas 2021.
