WPP's Cohn & Wolfe buys stake in India's Six Degrees PR

LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - WPP (LSE: WPP.L - news) 's wholly-owned operating company Cohn & Wolfe has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Six Degrees PR - a full service public relations agency - and its content and integrated marketing subsidiary Alphabet Consulting. The media and advertising company said the acquisition marks a further step towards its declared goal of developing its networks in fast-growing markets and sectors.

Six Degrees was founded in 2009 and has offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. It (Other OTC: ITGL - news) has experience in public relations, public affairs, crisis management and digital media, and delivers content and integrated marketing campaigns through Alphabet Consulting.

Clients include regional and multinational companies such as Amadeus, Cushman & Wakefield, Dalmia Bharat Group, Hughes, Ingersoll Rand and Nokia (Milan: 23568.MI - news) .

At 1043 BST, WPP shares were down 1.2% at 1,320p.
