Xeros Cleaning System Named Edison Award Finalist

Xeros to Be Recognized at Edison Awards Gala on April 30 in San Francisco

MANCHESTER, NH--(Marketwired - Feb 25, 2014) - Xeros Cleaning System by Xeros has been named a 2014 Award Finalist in the Energy/Sustainability category by the internationally renowned Edison Awards™. The distinguished awards, inspired by Thomas Edison's persistence and inventiveness, recognize innovation, creativity and ingenuity in the global economy.

"It's exciting to see companies like Xeros continuing Thomas Edison's legacy of challenging conventional thinking," said Frank Bonafilia, Edison Awards' executive director. "Edison Awards recognizes the game‐changing products and services, and the teams that brought them to consumers."

"We're honored to be chosen as a finalist for this prestigious award and to be recognized for our innovation in energy savings and sustainability," said Jonathan Benjamin, president, Xeros North America. "Xeros' polymer bead technology is changing the world of cleaning by using dramatically less water, energy, and detergent while delivering superior cleaning. Our customers are furthering their green initiatives while achieving unbeatable cost savings."

With the Xeros Commercial Laundry System, industrial laundries, hotels, fitness centers, and dry cleaners deliver superior cleaning results using polymer bead technology as compared to traditional "soap and water" methods. By combining the beads' molecular structure with a proprietary detergent solution, dirt from soiled items is attracted and absorbed by the beads, producing cleaner results. The reusable beads have a lifespan of hundreds of washes before being collected and recycled for reintroduction into the polymer supply chain. The patented, award-winning system uses 70% less water, up to 50% less energy, and approximately 50% less detergent.
