Yes, David! The Internet Is Freaking Out About 'Schitt's Creek' Sweeping the Emmys

The Roses are on fire.

The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards are underway, and so far, one show has swept the whole damn thing. Schitt's Creek has won every award in the comedy categories for acting, writing, directing, and the mother of it all, Outstanding Comedy Series. All four members of the Rose family— David (played by Dan Levy), Alexis (Annie Murphy), Johnny (Eugene Levy), and Moira (Catherine O'Hara) won for their respective performances, marking each actor's first Emmy win.

It's a monumental night for Schitt's Creek, to say the least. As the show wrapped its sixth and final season without any previous Emmy wins, this is quite the way to go out with a bang. Luckily, unlike most Emmy-nominated shows tonight, the Schitt's Creek cast is viewing the Emmy Awards together in a swanky event space, so we're guessing the champagne is flowing right now.
