New York Mortgage Trust (NYMT) Reports Q3 Loss, Misses Revenue Estimates

New York Mortgage Trust (NYMT) came out with a quarterly loss of $0.06 per share versus the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a loss of $0.11. This compares to earnings of $0.10 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 45.45%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this real estate investment trust would post a loss of $0.04 per share when it actually produced a loss of $0.08, delivering a surprise of -100%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates just once.

New York Mortgage Trust , which belongs to the Zacks REIT and Equity Trust industry, posted revenues of $14.22 million for the quarter ended September 2022, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 43.58%.
