13 countries with the best quality of life for expats

Singapore is once again the best place in the world to live as an expat – as voted by more than 27,000 expats.

The east Asia city state is “one of the cleanest and safest cities in the world”, according to the HSBC Expat Explorer survey. It’s described as a “multicultural hub that’s worked hard to earn its place among the thriving Asian Tiger economies”.

The survey asked expats from 159 countries to rank their experience of life living abroad on everything from job prospects, to education, to bringing up a family and quality of life. The UK came 35th out of the 46 ranked nations.
