16 brands to support this International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day (8 March) is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The campaign theme for 2021 is #ChooseToChallenge, encouraging people to call out gender bias and inequality whilst creating a more inclusive world. The first official International Women’s Day was held in 1911, and it has since grown into a worldwide tradition that lends a great opportunity to highlight the achievements of women, whilst continuing to campaign for equality. Net-A-Porter is donating 100 per cent of the profits from 12 exclusive pieces to Women for Women International. Spanning ready-to-wear, lifestyle and jewellery, the collection includes collaborations with brands such as Anissa Kermiche, Emilia Wickstead, Simone Rocha and Alighieri.
The brand will also be inviting its global audience to share their #PowerToChange message on social media, and for every post tagged #PowerToChange #NETAPORTER, £1 will be donated to Women for Women International.

Papier x Girls Talk
Papier has teamed up with the model and mental-health activist Adwoa Aboah to create a limited-edition notebook and guided journal for International Women’s Day.
All of the profits throughout March will be donated to Gurls Talk, a community-led not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the wellbeing of adolescent gxrls and young womxn.

The Swiss fashion house Akris has unveiled its ‘Symbol of Purpose’ initiative with the Kinderstern bag charm. First created in 1989, the motif stands for the rights of children and is part of an ongoing series contributing to supporting them through the not-for-profit Kinderstern.
Founded by Alice Kriemler-Snoch in 1922, Akris strives to celebrate women across the globe who dedicate their time, work and energy towards improving the lives of individuals, communities and industries.
