Former London home of playboy F1 champ James Hunt on the market for £2.7m

The former London mews home of flamboyant Formula One champion James Hunt has gone on the market for £2.7 million.

Hunt, who raced to the F1 title in 1976, bought the property in Fulham shortly after retiring in 1979, and lived there until 1982 – as a Blue Plaque on the wall shows.

The colourful Briton, known as much for his playboy antics as his motor racing, went on to form a commentating partnership with Murray Walker before dying, aged just 45, in 1993.
