Can you guess the world's wealthiest country? Hint: It's not Brunei

Global Finance Magazine ranked the world’s richest countries according to GDP per capita. And number one isn’t Brunei. Or Luxembourg.

Published in February 2017, the results were computed using using IMF data for per capita GDP, and then adjusted for purchasing power parity (PPP).

PPP is the measure most used by economists to compare living standards, as it considers inflation and the cost of living rather than just exchange rates.

Europe has 15 of the 30 richest nations, but some big economies such as the U.S., Japan and Canada also made the cut.
