H&M Home launches limited-edition collection handmade by artisans

H&M Home has launched a limited-edition collection, For the Love of Craft, handmade by artisans around the world. Created from natural materials, including acacia wood, terracotta and banana fibre, no two items are the same.

'Decorate your home with beautifully crafted details handmade from natural materials such as linen, acacia wood, terracotta, banana fibre, rattan, mouth-blown glass and Himalayan nettle,' say H&M Home. 'Explore our exclusive limited-edition collection where every piece is unique.'

'Our cutting boards are made with FSC certified Acacia wood,' explain H&M Home. 'This type of wood is well-known for its hardness and the grain can vary between straight and wavy patterns, while the shade of colour can range from light amber to a dark mahogany.'

'For the first time we introduce cushion covers made with Himalayan nettle,' add H&M Home.

'The plant grows wildly in Nepal, where the cultivation into fibres provides a livelihood to the local villagers. Due to differences in the shades, the yarn has a natural variation, as the nettle can vary from season to season and between areas.'
