See what posh nosh upmarket magazine Tatler selects from Aldi and Lidl

Posh lifestyle magazine Tatler has given its seal of approval to cut price supermarkets Aldi and Lidl. While the mag is usually more concerned with the trappings of the rich and well connected, it says “no one loves a bargain more than a toff”.

Tatler has picked out some wonderful goodies for a dinner party from the German retailers, featuring duck breasts, steak, prosecco and champagne. It also suggests items such as scented candles and pomegranate diffusers to create a lovely ambiance.

“You don’t have to be rich to be fabulous – you just have to know where to shop,” says Tatler.
