Masco's (MAS) first-quarter 2024 results benefit from operational improvements amid low volumes.
Masco missed Wall Street expectations for first-quarter sales on Wednesday, hurt by weak demand for its products in North America, China and Europe. Shares of the company, which makes home building products, were down about 4% in early trading as Masco also maintained its annual forecasts, despite price hikes. "We haven't really seen a restoration of volumes," CEO Keith Allman said on a post earnings call.
Although the revenue and EPS for Masco (MAS) give a sense of how its business performed in the quarter ended March 2024, it might be worth considering how some key metrics compare with Wall Street estimates and the year-ago numbers.
