France's Eiffage reports 9-month revenue growth, confirms outlook

Contracting revenue for the builder of roads, tunnels and electric infrastructure grew 8.5% to 13.11 billion euros ($14.04 billion) due to strong momentum in Europe excluding France, it said in a statement. The Concessions unit, which collects tolls, rose 9.5% as its Autoroutes Paris-Rhin-Rhône (APRR) subsidiary, France's second and Europe's fourth motorway operator, saw increased traffic and passengers growth at airports. Total revenue rose to 15.89 billion euros from 14.63 billion in the first nine months of 2022.

    France's Eiffage reports first-half revenue up 10.4%

The company, which builds roads, tunnels and electric infrastructure, also said it had seen an increase of 9.1% in operating profit on ordinary activities in the first six months through June. The company is Channel Tunnel operator Getlink's main shareholder at around 18.8%, and the co-owner of Autoroutes Paris-Rhin-Rhône (APRR), France's second and Europe's fourth motorway operator by revenue. In July, APRR reported a 3% increase in traffic and a 76.8% EBITDA margin during the first half of the year.

France's Eiffage reports rise in first-quarter revenue

Eiffage, which builds roads, tunnels and electric infrastructure, said it generated 4.9 billion euros ($5.39 billion) in revenue in the first three months of 2023 and saw 15% year-on-year growth in its order book to 19.9 billion euros. Strikes and transport disruptions in France affected Eiffage positively as travellers were forced back onto the highways for lack of a better alternative, Jefferies said in a research note, mitigating the potentially negative impact of increased fuel prices. APRR, France's second largest motorway operator by revenue, which Eiffage co-owns, reported a 5% year-on-year rise in toll revenue in its first-quarter results.
