Jonathan started his career in finance in 1990 by joining Credit Suisse. In March 1992, Jonathan moved to Jardine Fleming Securities, as a Senior Analyst covering the Japanese autos, auto parts and steel sectors. In June 1994, Jonathan moved across to Jardine Fleming Asset Management. He was promoted to the Head of the Small Company Funds Team in 1996 and then Director in 1998. In April 2001, Jonathan relocated to JP Morgan Fleming Asset Management. In April 2002, Jonathan was promoted to Managing Director. In November 2006 joined Coupland Cardiff Asset Management LLP as a partner of the firm.
