The stock market is in bear market territory and America is probably in a recession. Unless VW and Porsche are going bankrupt (which I doubt ) this could be a once in a life time buying opportunity . I remember when Ford was selling for $1.00 a share. Its painful watching your stock go down every day but I'm not selling at all time lows.jmho

Germany's energy crisis is trickling down to its industrial sector.
Volkswagen (VOW.DE) CEO Herbert Diess said the automaker is having to use coal instead of natural gas at the on-site power plants that provide energy to its factories in Germany.
Diess also warned that the company’s shift away from Russian energy as a result of the war in Ukraine isn't happening fast enough. Diess made the comments remotely today at the Qatar Economic Forum in Doha.
“It’s going probably not fast enough” Diess said about the transition.

Please have a look at ticker ILUS as well - ILUS International. EVs, Drones, UAVs, Urban Mining and patented firefighting technology. ILUS is profitable in their first year and uplisting. They have increased revenues 482 percent year over year. ILUS has completed 8 acquisitions in the last 16 months. One of the more notable being that of Vira Drones, with an estimated billion dollar valuation. ILUS has also recently acquired Wikisoft, ticker WSFT. Please see Yahoo Finance for more details and news. They are undervalued and worth a look.

Does anybody know why volkswagen has so much debt? Is it "good debt"? Or is it Revlon type debt, the really bad kind?

    More Problems:

SAO PAULO (Reuters) - Volkswagen AG is set to cut working hours and wages at its Sao Bernardo do Campo factory in Brazil as it grapples with a lack of auto parts and electronic components to assemble its vehicles.
The metalworkers union of Sao Bernardo do Campo said on Wednesday it had agreed to a plan for the German carmaker to cut working hours by 24% and paychecks by 12% starting next month.
According to the union, the arrangement will take effect beginning July 7, when workers are set to get back from a 10-day shutdown.

$vwapy should have paid $0.79 in dividend. It paid $0.53
.79 (1-.85) = foreign tax.= $0.1185. $0.6715 should have been dividend. $0.14 was stolen lol. Typical Volkswagen culture lol.
First they cheated on emissions. Now on dividend. I will sell volkswagen tomorrow and will buy $STLA. More reputable company. Best of luck to all.

VW has released preliminary figures for Q1 and they look extremely good. 8.5B operating profit before special items and special items includes 3.5B positive increase on hedging items. VW has also release Q1 vehicle delivery figures, which show BEV ramping, but sales have been limited by the chip shortage.
