    Edible drones filled with food, water or medicine could soon become indispensable in humanitarian emergencies by delivering live-saving supplies to remote areas hit by natural disasters or conflict, their designers said on Monday. With (Other OTC: WWTH - news) 50 kg (110 lb) of food stocked inside its compartments, each drone costing 150 pounds ($187) would be able to deliver enough supplies to feed up to 50 people per day, they said. The frame of the prototype version of the drone - called Pouncer - is made of wood but the designers are planning to use edible materials in the next version.

    The volume of North Sea Forties crude heading to Asia on supertankers this month may reach a record, according to shipping data and trade sources, reflecting more favourable arbitrage economics. Three Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) -- Aquila (Paris: FR0010340711 - news) , Alice and Bunga Kasturi Lima -- are likely to head to China and South Korea this month, according to the Reuters data and sources. Another two, Sandra and Phoenix Vigor, are also thought likely to sail to Asia, sources said.

    North Sea Forties crude differentials fell on Thursday, under pressure from rising supplies and an apparent drop-off in demand after two supertanker trips looked unlikely to take place. * The Buzzard field, the largest contributor to the Forties stream, has returned to normal production levels, according to operator Nexen Petroleum UK Ltd.
