I've invested in this fund for years now and never been disappointed in the growth or losses. This fund lives up to exactly what it should do during bull and bear markets. When it's up, it not nearly as high as those totally exposed to the market, and when it's down, it's not nearly the losses everyone else may be experiencing who are exposed to the market. Plain and simple...balanced just like it says. I would encourage anyone to have this fund as part of their portfolio.

It was down, but see dividend and cap gain paid last night!

Interesting how no one has comments about this fund. I think it's holding up pretty well given what's going on.

glad i took my capital gains from cwgix and growth fund and put them in this fund

Vanguard wellington fund is one of the best funds you can buy

Bought 25k at close today.

All markets, Dow, S&P, Nasdaq up over 1% today. Half of top 10 holdings up & up more than those that were down,,, yet BALCX down 2.14% today!!

abalx was once a very good fund , but for at least the last five years, it's performance has slipped badly. It is time to shake up the fund.s management team.

MY reaction is you would be bettor off putting the money in a cd.Another dog fund that only benefits themselves.Go with Vanguard.
