    Exclusive-Apollo, Sixth Street no longer in talks to finance Twitter deal -sources

    Apollo Global Management Inc and Sixth Street Partners, which had been looking to provide financing for Elon Musk's proposed $44 billion buyout of Twitter Inc, are no longer in talks with the billionaire entrepreneur, said two sources familiar with the matter. Apollo had been in talks to provide preferred equity financing for the deal, alongside Sixth Street, sources previously told Reuters. Apollo, Sixth Street and other investors were looking to commit more than $1 billion in financing for the deal at the time.

    Apollo names former German regulator chief as senior adviser

    FRANKFURT (Reuters) -Global investor Apollo has appointed the former president of Germany's financial regulator, Felix Hufeld, as a senior adviser, he confirmed on Wednesday. Hufeld, a prominent figure in German finance who left the BaFin regulator following the collapse of the payments company Wirecard, declined to elaborate further. The Bonn-based regulator, which is part of the finance ministry, came under fire for failing to spot wrongdoing ahead of Wirecard's implosion in 2020 in Germany’s biggest fraud case.
