I can't find a reasonable plane ticket from to NJ for 3 weeks!

I think the increased travel demand is the most important indicator as to where BA is headed in the next 90 days. Say hello to $300.

United Airlines says rising travel demand will spare flight attendants, thousands of others from furlough this fall!

Major advances in vaccines such as NVAX just announced will turn travel completely around and sooner than most think. At this price hedge funds are stealing shares as they can for the much higher prices to come soon.

It’s official! The numbers are in. TSA screened over 2 million on Friday and travel is in uptick and back to pre-pandemic levels. Boeing’s inventory of planes are being gobbled up fast. Up up and away!

BA boosts output as orders climb... “Boeing (BA) is seeing orders of its 737 Max jet pick up again and is reportedly drawing up plans to sharply boost the output of the narrow-body jet next year.
Southwest Airlines (LUV), the top 737 customer,  announced on June 8 that it would buy 34 737 Max jets for delivery in 2022. The carrier now has 234 737 Max aircraft on order in total and says it could need up to 500 new aircraft as it expands U.S. service.
Boeing saw 73 new aircraft orders in May, outpacing cancellation for the fourth straight month. The orders included 61 737 Max jets and five Dreamliners. But Dreamliner deliveries remained paused as the Federal Aviation Administration reviews Boeing's quality control checks. Boeing delivered just 17 jets last month.
As orders rise Boeing is outlining plans to increase 737 Max output to as many as 42 jets a month in fall 2022, industry sources told Reuters. Boeing has publicly said it plans to boost production steadily from its current lower production rate to hit 31 jets per month in March 2022.
The planned output surge comes as travel demand rises. U.S. carriers are opening up new domestic routes and gearing up for a return to expanded international service.

What is up with the potential 150 UAL plane order? Is it happening this week? Just too many positives for BA not to be higher.

June 10 (Reuters) - United Airlines is in talks to place a multi-billion-dollar order for single-aisle jets potentially split between Boeing and Airbus, industry sources said.

If confirmed, the deal could include over 100 of Boeing's 737 MAX 8 and several dozen larger Airbus A321neo jets, they said, asking not to be identified.

Both BA as well as the Dow index are waaaay overdue for a nice gain. Say what they want but travel is back and orders will increase steadily from now on. Airlines need fuel efficient newer aircraft.

BA rising in the midst of a falling Dow is very good news.
