    Calhoun Village owner: No plans to replace Barnes & Noble

    The owner of Calhoun Village in Minneapolis has scrapped plans to replace the Barnes & Noble there with a relocated Walgreens, and the bookstore also has no plans to close. Reports surfaced last year that Bloomington-based Doran Cos. wanted to replace the Barnes & Noble there with a drug store that included a drive-through pharmacy. "We did get approval if we wanted to move the Walgreens over and do a drive through but haven’t acted on it," he said.

    German media group Bertelsmann may raise its stake in book publisher Penguin Random House, it said on Wednesday after British joint venture partner Pearson issued a major profit warning and said it might sell the stake.
