    Postal workers in the western German town of Bad Hersfeld are getting a helping hand from a new colleague. A bright yellow, four-wheeled robot will carry mail and packages and follow them as they do their rounds.     Deutsche Post DHL to double StreetScooter e-minivan production

    German logistics firm Deutsche Post DHL (DPWGn.DE) is building a second StreetScooter electric minivan factory in Dueren near Cologne as it doubles capacity to sell vehicles to third parties, it said on Monday. The new plant will employ 250 people and will be capable of producing 10,000 electric vehicles per year, with further expansion possible if it switches to two- or three-shift operations. "We are now beginning the next phase of development at StreetScooter," said Juergen Gerdes, head of Deutsche Post's post, ecommerce and parcel businesses.

    Deutsche Post DHL has agreed to sell its British outsourcing subsidiary Williams Lea Tag to private equity group Advent International to focus on its core logistics service business, the two companies said on Thursday. A person familiar with the matter had told Reuters in April that Deutsche Post was seeking a buyer for Williams Lea, which it bought in 2006. The company made revenue of 1.41 billion euros ($1.7 billion) in 2014, the last year for which Deutsche Post broke out separate figures for the business.
