this company is funding clearcutting the forests in North America. if you invest in this company sell before the subsidies from the UK government end in a few years as they won't be renewing. Burning wood for energy is just as dirty if not worse than coal, and the forests will be gone because of it. wake up people

Drax announced in February 2019 that they were participating in a #$%$3.9M new funding round to support an innovative and proprietary chemical process technology for removal of CO2 from emissions in industrial processes by C - Capture of Leeds UK.This technology is in the early stages of development but has enormous worldwide potential. If this were a publicly quoted business it would probably have a considerable market cap. I don?t think it?s potential value is yet reflected in the Drax market price. The market in my view has overlooked its value.

This is the type of power generation business the world needs in a climate emergency. I believe this and businesses like it are going to be selected by governments across the world to provide their populations power supplies. I don’t think the time has ever been more right to be in this market as it is today.

I also think that as a society and individuals we will start to ask our energy suppliers ‘where is the power you’re supplying coming from and what is it’s environmental impact ?’ If we don’t the right answers we’ll start to switch to suppliers who can provide carbon neutral power.

I agree. Drax is a great company, but I guess that nationalisation threats from the Labour party are keeping the share price down...thus the high yield. Either it’s a great investment or you’ll be road kill for Corbyn and McDonnell
