My thesis as well for Enphase. Stay very long and prosper unless there is a shift in the fundamentals:

Massive And Growing Renewable Energy Market Keeps SolarEdge Technologies And Enphase Energy Attractive Despite Huge YTD Runs https://seekingalpha.com/article/4375915-massive-and-growing-renewable-energy-market-keeps-solaredge-technologies-and-enphase-energy
Renewable Energy ETF performance has outpaced the broader market with YTD returns for ICLN, ACES, PBW, and TAN of ~40%, ~51%, ~62%, vs ~1% for the S&P500 (through 9/21).

Bullish long term for Enphase as it will dramatically increase storage attach rates. Still a few years off:

    https://www.pv-magazine.com/2020/09/18/california-introduces-new-net-metering-regime/

Given that the value of exports will almost certainly get reduced, we expect that to be bullish for energy storage. Energy storage attachment rates with solar are already steadily rising in California. By the time NEM-3 starts getting implemented, likely in 2022, we think storage attachment rates will likely escalate further.
We would not be surprised to see future storage attachment rates in California look like the Hawaiian market today, which are upwards of 80% for certain types of customers and applications.

Has this been posted yet. Should get Larry riled. https://enphase.com/en-us/stories/energy-storage-vs-generator
Backup power is not new, but it is quickly changing. How does energy storage compare to a traditional gasoline generator?

I encourage everyone to take the courses from Enphase University to learn more about the Encharge technology. Even if you're not planning on installing or work in that field, I think it helps you become more knowleable about the technology behing the Encharge system. After learning about the micro-grid capabilities I did some research on Tesla powerwall for comparison and it's not even close. According to a post on Tesla's forum, Tesla has a Energy gateway that senses when the grid is out and turns on the batteries while disconnecting the solar PV generation. When the batteries fall below a certain value, the solar is turned on to charge the batteries but there is no simultaneous power production from PV and the battery. Enphase's Empower switch, on the other hand, will simulate a microgrid from the batteries so that the PV generation never stops. The clear benefit is that the batteries could be a lot smaller since you'll be able to use all the PV generation during the day. Really exciting technology and revolutionary. If anyone else has a similar technology on the market let me know but I think Enphase is the clear pioneer here. Can't wait for IQ8 to be released as a standalone microinverter!

So... to all longs who deem themselves worthy - Care to recommend a new stock that u think is worth it? (like you putting your money on enph when it was only 1$).
*o/c this is only an opinion, not a real recommendation, and one should follow up on their own risk*

I love this stock and this company. And the best is yet to come when IQ8 and the Commercial products start shipping as well as Ensemble in a box next year. Please do NOT trade this stock - there are decades of growth ahead in solar. One of the best buy and hold growth stocks in the market currently IMHO

A huge opportunity for solar, batteries, EVs and other DERs — and a huge challenge to integrate utility grid operations with bulk energy markets.

Good post from Slem on Stocktwits I’m reposting:

SPWR guiding $170 plus million revenue for Q3
    similar $ENPH Q3 revenue guidence.
Q3 will be the last quarter margins pressure from module operations.
    Storage is the story ...
Q4 will be the most profitable quarter in the companies history,
the first in a long string of record profit quarters.
Shorts will continue to pile on until the long term trend is crushed. Trend reversal will be in the rear view by the time Q3 earning release, IMO
daily chart does not lie, bid ask is melting up.
Short interest under no pain. $15 will bring the heat.
this is setting up to be a beautiful cover story, 37% of the float short.
Clear view to rising revenue margins and profits,
Scorching hot sector, SPWR the laggard and the leader,
Money to be made when the market balances the differentials.
It's scorching out there .. be chill

As @guy says be long and strong, times might get difficult but as an equity asset enph is a premier asset. I'm going with $70-80 until earnings, and then we punch higher. Everything elon said last night makes enph's iron phosphate battery chemistry the go to for quite sometime, as in min 2023. enph needs some u.s. based produced products.

    Clueless
Wildfire smoke and fines negatively impact power production from solar panels. We all get it, Larry. Extremely cloudy days and winters do too, to varying degrees. Wednesday, Sept 9, 2020 was a very bad day for solar panel production in California. But ENPH will still sell a whole heck of a lot of microinverters (whether they're on panels or batteries) and the market for them and others is growing, by leaps and bounds. Solar with storage is impressive technology that is better priced and more efficient than it ever has been. Continuing to beat the drum on this is redundant. You say some good stuff, Larry. You've got some interesting contrarian points, and I want to continue to take your viewpoint into consideration, and I think a lot of other folks on this board can benefit from you as well, but you're not going to convince anyone that ENPH isn't a great stock because historically horrific wildfires have lessened production this week. Look, I'm genuinely interested in data from the wildfires, and I'm not arguing that these fires are not terrible, and I'm not saying they haven't blocked an awful lot of panel production in afflicted areas for the past few days. But if you're saying that you think power production for solar panels, even in the worst wildfire areas, will suffer a larger decrease than what they're finding in China ON AVERAGE, I think you are wrong. These fires will happen more often than they ever have. Increasing severity of climate change has made that inevitable, and considering that 57% of California forests and 60% of Oregon forests are managed by the Federal Government, and our current federal goverment is as inept and corrupt as they come, this is not a problem that is going away anytime soon. But what all of this actually equates to is that we need distributed power resiliency more than ever, and solar + storage is a critical part of that strategy.
