I'm kind of ironically looking for naysayers here to give me a reason to not add to my position. ( If you're still around Ron, please chime in.... seriously ) I'm already very heavily over weighted in GLP but I can't see why not to add a bit more here. Other than rates making a 10% yield being less attractive, is there anything materially different going on here that I'm missing ? Oil / gasoline prices are a pass through, correct ? I really just think that this is an opportunity . Please naysayers, explain to me why I'm wrong. ... I will not take offense, I'm asking for advice/opinions. Thanks and GLTA.... (no matter your position)

Investor Place, Money Wise and Zach’s have all had very positive comments on GLP the last few weeks. We could see another increase in the dividend since their income is soaring.

Interesting to see if they increase the dividend with possible recession on the horizon. This company should come through the recession since they are selling a product that people can’t live without.

More insanity by computers. Oil is going up so gas prices at the pump going up/stock down? Weird!
Maybe demand falling theory is at work with high prices but a lot of folks have to drive to work. Most
of the goods that arrive at your local store come by truck. And the
number of refineries continues to decline in the US. Prices are going to stay high until the FED is
forced to crush the economy with a massive recession in 2023. The greenies have Biden pinned down
so no new drilling is going to happen for a long time. I plan to exit stocks in 3Q22 and go to cash except
for my best paying dividends to scoop up deals in early 2023

Jill: Those cruise ships run on diesel fuel. Do you think the high cost is going to slow done cruise recovery which could hurt GLP. Their latest numbers were fantastic. Hope it continues.

I came across GLP in my search for some additional higher yield dividend stocks.

I'm interested in hearing some others thoughts on my observations:

    General:

    - Heavy Debt ($1.78B, vs annual before interest earning of <$200M)
    - Paying $100M annually in Interest Expense
    - Portion of debt renews in 2024 - risk in rising interest rate economy, as will not be able to pay down by then
    - Dividend has been consistently paid quarterly since inception ('06), however fluctuates some year to year (not always increasing)
    - Regional presence, prime for growth through regional expansion or acquisitions

    Financial:

    - PE 12.12
    - Rev ~$15B, Profit $100-200M (1%)
    - Dividend $2.38 (+8%)
    - EPS 2.27
    - Short % 0.14%
    - Payout Ratio : 101% -- not sustainable
    - Gross Margin Low 5% -- low needs continuous high volumes
    - Book Value / share = $11.63

I want to get excited about GLP and buy given the dividend yield but it doesn't seem to be particularly sustainable. Am I missing something here?

This new dividend increase shows clearly how management (which owns a lot of shares) is aligned with
shareholders. While the management has had blunders (remember railcar fiasco) they have become
more focused on the core business. Congrats to all who are in the stock. It's my 2nd largest position.
Best defense against inflation is to get more payments

GLP looks like it is about to drop. Be careful guys. I have been reading (http://Achieverspot.tech) and their stocks have been doing way better.
