Ahrens concurred: “Short-sighted retail investors expected federal reforms in cannabis laws.” But, he added, such reforms “are now dragging out for an unknown period of time.”

Ahrens wrote that two additional factors are suppressing industry share prices:

Restricted access to MSO stocks by certain brokerage firms, wire houses and big banks because of marijuana’s federally illegal status.
Low trading volume. MSO stocks, which trade on over-the-counter exchanges in the U.S., don’t generate the trading volume that Nasdaq- or New York Stock Exchange-listed stocks have. The lower market float can make a stock more vulnerable to an attack by short sellers. At the same time, solid buying pressure could cause the stocks to rebound sharply.

Several of the MSOs had great price action yesterday with positive bullish candles. If we get follow through today (positive price action) short term buy signals will ge generated.

Stock reached 0 on all stochastics today. You rarely see this occur, especially on a day with no news.

This should be bottom then rally back up to test $25 area. Good earnings report could stabilize the stock and drive it higher. Clarity will come out of Washington by early 2022 and Democrats will vote on full legalization before mid-terms because it is in their best interests to do so. But NOW is the best of all worlds for US MSOs as they can grab and consolidate market-share before competition tries to buy into US market after legalization.

Several others are close to short term buy signals but need more followup action…AYRWF, CRLBF, CURLF, JUSHF, TRSSF

    1. Turnaround Tuesday?
    2. The start of a decent run-up into earnings?
    3. News leaked regarding the Warren/Booker letter to the AG?
    4. Just oversold (dead cat bounce)?
    5. Positive CNBC Tilray options news?
    6. CA governor allowing CBD and Hemp consumables?
    7. Credit Union lending?
    8. All of the above.
    7. None of the above.

News of increased lending capacity driven by credit unions might be a factor for today's pop. There is an article on mjstocktrader website about StandardC. Can't post the link due to posting rules.

Seeking Alpha attributes today's pop to the cannibas sector is due to positive comments made by Jon Najarian who appeared on CNBC.

Always fun to watch the short sellers come in here and tell us how bad our stock is. That Green Thumb is making money hand over foot and growing is something they'd prefer we didn't notice. As always this will break out way up when the time comes. Patience.

I really feel like this stock just needs a good earnings report and will start to see a turn around. From researching the industry, I feel that this company is making better strategic decisions and not blowing tons of capital. I like that despite having fewer stores then trulieve (excluding harvest) they are pumping more revenue. I went to one of their Rise locations in illinois and its extremely well run and efficient. I witnessed first hand the clear demand for their products. I think long term this could be a 3x stock.

Another EOD sell off....hopefully we are in a consolidation/stabilization period. I would like to see GTI muster a bit of a pre-earnings run-up.

Looks like it’s time to add to this position- oversold & on sale. GTBIF is winner. Patience will be rewarded- YOY growth in taxable sales was extraordinary in 202o (check the numbers - Nevada did over $1BILLION in legal sales) with only 35 states on board and the other 15 states chomping to legalize BULLISH

Do we feel BULLISH? check out YOY growth in legalized states- huge growth - A mere taste of future success as sales role out in state after state - northeast not even open yet!! BULLISH.

I was right on bounce. I think it will go up to $25 area quickly, but there will be strong resistance there so short timers looking to profit will want to sell there. For more intermediate investors, watch stochastics and Williams indicator for over-bought area to sell. For longs, this was the panic bottom, which we may need to re-test….

Anyone know what GTBIF isn't participating in today's rally? I keep buying a few dips but it's getting painful again.
