The grocer said the issue affected a small number of customers but has now been resolved.
The supermarket giant reported a better-than-expected 1.6% rise in underlying pre-tax profits to £701 million for the year to March 2.
LONDON (Reuters) -Sainsbury's, Britain's second largest supermarket group, forecast up to 10% growth in retail operating profit in its new financial year, confident it can continue to win more customers from rivals. The group, which has a 15.3% share of Britain's grocery market trailing only Tesco, beat company guidance for profit in its 2023/24 year as it outperformed the wider market. Sainsbury's and Tesco, which this month also forecast a rise in profit this year, are pulling away from traditional rivals Asda and Morrisons, which are hamstrung by high debt.
