I was in M&S last week for the first time in a while. The improvement is remarkable. I went in just to look and I bought two items. My wife was in a different town and she bought footwear which she claims are the best she has ever bought. A major positive change has taken place. Why go to the hassle of buying online when you can select what you like, get the right fit, and bring it home with you?

Go M&S go! Looks like everything clicking. With food inflation continuing and the holiday season upon us, M&S would seem to be perfectly situated. Company is clearly playing to its strengths and shareholders are reaping the benefits! Let’s hope the stock chart for the next 12 months looks like the past 12 months. Good to see this RBC analyst sprinkling caution on the stock price. All these analysts have missed the stock move because they only upgrade stocks when the turnaround is complete

Apollo sizing up marks and spencer! Boo yah. Pay $10 a share Apollo. Then you can IPO the ocado stake. Offer pension buyouts and keep the billions left over in the pension plans. Or just let the current management keep doing what they are doing and take a 10 year time horizon on the company’s turnaround.

I saw five outfits of M& S ladies fashion in a newspaper recently I thought they were upmarket, attractive, well designed, and a game-changer.

Time to buy would be now for the dividend and the strong end of year sales anticipated this christmas, now covid has eased somewhat.

Its still a classic brand and with brexit, the British will be look after their own.

Given the SPAC and overseas mergers and supply problems ib the UK, their food competitors are no longer cheaper and M&S are now affordable to the everyday guy who always wanted the quality they felt outpriced for in the past.

I wish they would open more out of town food stores in competition with Lidl. I would then consider investing!

I hear you about the clothing issues. Never actually shopped in the store so really can’t speak to the quality. From an outsider looking in the three main items that drew me to MAKSY are (1) the food business and the partnership with ocado which looks outstanding given what has transpired the past 12 months (2) the massive real estate owned by the company which the company appears to want to rationalize and (3) the massively overfunded pension which appears to be substantially overfunded by an amount way bigger than the company shows on its balance sheet. It’s quite possibly that the pension is overfunded by anywhere from $3-6 billion by my guesstimate. I’m not an actuary but the company’s pension assets compared to its benefit payments seem to suggest there is enormous overfunding but certainly do your own research.

A buy rating from deutsche bank. I may faint. Feels like everyone on Wall Street has hated everything about m&s for far too long. M&S pensions look insanely overvalued when comparing benefit payments to pension assets

Another step in consolidating their online efforts by buying Jaeger. A lot of exciting initiatives under its MS2 division, established to accelerate their e-commerce activities. This overlooked share has been creeping up slowly in the last 6 months. I do hold and intend to long term.

I always shop in m&s because over the years I always got good quality cloths and special food. When I see one I never pass without calling in .

I am glad to see M & S doing well. I feel when the future is more clear M & S will be one of the winners.

anything less than £1 is good. This is a long term investment. It will take at least 2 years to recover. I'm hoping that the link with ocado will help in that journey to recovery

In a strange way I think the turmoil of Brexit with regards to importing goods into England could be a huge benefit to Marks and Spencer which prides itself on supporting the local economies by sourcing things locally

This stock looks as cheap as anything out there. Why is there no love for the stock after the Ocado transaction?!? M&S did the stock offering when the stock price was double where it is now and did the JV valuation when Ocado was worth half of what it is worth today. The transaction wouldn’t even be possible today so good job by management getting this deal done!

MAKSY reporting on Wednesday. I’d have to think it’s all about the guidance. Seems like the ocado JV should continue to help MAKSY. The pension should be more overfunded than six months ago. The retail side should benefit from the high vaccination rates i the Uk. Just gotta love these old retailers who remain focused on providing a great service to their customers.

Great to see MAKSY playing to its strengths and utilizing its real estate to expand online operations
