    So underrated...
They've a market cap of $24B, while their combined profit in 2021 and 2022 will be around $24B ($15B + $9B). 2022 is also going to be a good year, lot of infrastructure being build and demand for steel. Even if the steel prices decline they're going to make money. Bought some more shares today, this is at least a $40 stock.

If you’re a day trader, you should definitely check out (http://trademarketview.tech). They send a watchlist covering the top pre-market movers every day before the open. It’s a great way to pick out potential trades for the day.

Can you buy on NYSE in USD and sell in EUR? This stock is up 3% on three Euro exchanges and 0 on NYSE. Or some computing error? Lol

I am planning to enter this one... Can someone explain why this keeps behaving very differently from other steel stocks...?

Another solid quarter for MT, but with steel prices falling, the market is declining to reward the company. Operating income rose sequentially from $4.4 B to $5.3 B. EBITDA rose sequentially from $5.1 B to $6.1 B, the highest in 13 years. Net debt dropped from $5 B to $3.9 B. It was $9.5 B at the close of Q1 2020. Revenue rose sequentially despite a slight decline in steel production from $19.3 B to $20.3 B. MT has bought back 112 MM shares this year through the third quarter. The float is now 983 MM shares. The company has pledged another $1 B in buy backs. It projects steel consumption outside of China next yer to rise 12 to 13 percent and it notes that it will enter contracts at Q4 2021 prices for delivery in 2022. Automotive orders may also increase as chip constraints ease and vehicle production recovers. The furnace is stoked to heat up returns in Q4 and into 2022. Many investors, however, won't buy a cyclical stock when prices are declining -- and for good reason. Falling prices spell lower profits and, in a capital intensive industry like MT's, often lead to losses. MT says that this time will be different but the risk-reward balance suggests to many that the downside is greater than the upside. MT's share price could dart into the upper $30s, but now, gentlemen is the time to put your stop loss orders in. Even if MT can sustain its current share price for a while, it can only fight the price cycle for so long.

Agree that the price should easily push to 40, steel demand for next two years will be insatiable.

Steel should continue to do well during the early phase of an inflationary economy. Good earnings, steady steel prices and demand should allow this to move higher at least into 2022…..Assuming market bubbles continue to float.

Book value per share is 45; Forward P/E is 10; 40% of shares owned by insiders.
A few years back the company made losses related to unfavorable economic circumstances.
At that time it was trading at a ridiculously cheap price.
Now the company makes profits; the price had gone up quite a bit, but the stock is still very cheap.

Great year for steel prices, China seems to have slowed output & we have a US infrastructure bill (that’s what they call it anyway) … yet, this is still below 2018 highs. What’s it going to take. Someone get out the defibrillator! I’m guessing they’ll crush earnings tomorrow yet I wouldn’t be shocked to see it go down or up just a blip.

truly one of the most hated and frustrating companies to own. The ceo has to take action after earnings, if you can't make your stock go up with record HRC prices you think investors will stick around ?

Silly market reaction to Citibank downgrade of Nucor? If so, it makes no sense when comparing MT's and Nucor's valuations!
