All things considered, a great set of results and outlook. Wish I'd added yesterday now!

12th May 2021 Trading update download PDF:

Ignacio Garat, Group Chief Executive, said:

“I am pleased to see the continued improving performance trajectory across our business in the first four months of 2021 despite the ongoing lockdown restrictions. It is very encouraging to see the positive impact on profit delivery of the management actions taken last year.

I remain grateful for the tireless work and commitment of our colleagues, and for the ongoing support we continue to receive from both customers and authorities, once again demonstrating the strength of the relationships we have built over the years. Progress has been made on a number of the ‘big deltas’ outlined at the full year results presentation including the mobilisation of new fleet in Casablanca and the launch of new standard operating procedures in North America School Bus, already delivering financial benefits as part of our ‘Driving Excellence’ programme.

Whilst we remain focused on managing what we can control, we remain confident that as restrictions across the world are lifted we will see a strong recovery in demand for our services.”

If you are wondering why NEX is down today, its because swing sellers cashing out decent earnings report.

Honestly if we finish above 3£, going to be a strong sign stock might reach 4£ even before Holiday season. I was expecting ~2.95 after earnings report. Surprised so far stock is showing so much resistance.

*UPDATE* National Express is pleased to announce the acquisition of Transportes Rober (Rober) in Spain for a headline consideration of #$%$13 million, which represents 2.6 times EBITDA.The acquisition of Rober, which has operated the urban bus contract in Granada for more than 20 years, represents a further step in consolidating the regional and urban bus markets, a strategy which ALSA has successfully executed in Galicia, the Basque Region and Leon amongst others. Granada is a major hub for long haul connections and builds on ALSA?s existing urban business in Almeria and regional services, consolidating our leadership position in Andalusia with a combined fleet of 650 vehicles and 1,900 employees.READ MORE:

    5 March 2021

The Company announces a revised date for the publication of its Full Year Results for the year ended 31 December 2020.

The results will now be published on 18 March 2021, one week later than previously expected. Given practical constraints due to the lockdown, this short delay will allow sufficient time for Deloitte to complete their audit.

The Company will hold a webcast presentation and live Q&A session on the morning of 18 March, the webcast will be broadcast

nex dragging my whole portfolio down 🔻 I've got to reduce my exposure. although long term this is more likely a solid investment. diamond hands right ? or should i sell a little as we move up in price ? difficult to decide. maybe I will focus on increasing cash position instead then I can invest if the price drops / won't miss out on opportunities elsewhere.

I'm taking a long term view despite NEX dragging my portfolio down. NEX group will recover once travel opens up in the future.

    NEX fans..
only 100 million of profit is from the UK. 9 billion from German rail franchise. 30 billion US school contract. Also Spain is looking at changing its laws i regards train franchise... NEX is first in line

    NEX will fly.
As we come out of covid, more people will use coaches as cars will be expensive to own when jobs have been so decimated and even flying abroad will be a ball ache with restrictions at the destinations etc. NEX will clean up.
I envisage 1000 by June and 1500 this time next year

I ended up taking all of my profits from last weeks news too early, I’m beginning to regret that decision.

Oh well I’m new to this game I live and learn!!

Investors are starting to look past this covid19 thing its great! Onwards and up wards. £1.80 by Christmas seems realistic. £3 next Christmas?🤞

Money doubled. Took some profits. Will let the rest ride out till 470

There is no reason to believe nex wont recover after pandemic. They bought so many small competitors during covid and used government support to cover big part of expenses.

Only issue I see, - prolonged recovery due to unpredictable lockdowns.

Rally continues. Are you guys holding all the way to the top? I’m sitting on 60% gains now.

22% up after Pfizer announced a vaccine that is 90% effective. Well done to all that have held on and added to their portfolio. This stock is heavily undervalued so only a matter of time until it’s back to its regular price 😃
