Wondering whether anyone sees the recent poor performance a result of tax loss selling? Or is it more likely just the result of the sector moving lower and the effects of index funds taking all midstream producers down? Certainly, the current administration, and the pipeline accident in SoCal last weekend aren’t helping the share price.

Ive seen... read... and heard alot over the years... but what is "reliability of capital"

"With regard to 2021 capital spending estimates, we expect to now spend $140 to $160 million on strategic capital, all of which will be funded by internally generated cash flows. In addition, we expect to spend $35 to $45 million on reliability capital for the year."

I bought 1400 @$14.65 on Tuesday using a GTC limit... I guess I could have gotten it cheaper... but the end result is +10% overnight....

The 11% yield on $14.65 was irresistible to me and I dont see metrics that warrant lower pricing than that...

I want to see the the proceeds from the ET terminal deal (SUN) go directly to debt...

I want to see every penny of profit going to debt....

I dont want any new growth CAPEX until leverage goes below 5xs (and thats a ways off even with the debt reduction... probably need a significant EBITDA increase for that)...

And I want the company sold to an MLP that is financially secure...

I would take .9 EPD for each NS... that secures the distribution @ $1.60... and pays about $20 in equity...

PS if some producer wants a new lateral they need to commit to pricing and volumes that pays it off within 3 years...

The only rhyme or reason to NSs trading is that it is somewhat illiquid...

And thats a doubled edged sword...

Still A value play here at a 10% yield...

But an outright steal below $15...

Want some at that price... place a GTC limit order... and then just wait it out...

You wont get this Qs distribution... but rest assured... it will do its quarterly dive next Q too

They really need to sell the company to a financially secure MLP...

WHY IS YAHOO slow on stating the earnings dot graph on the left side of the page that shows it's EPS CHART FOR Q2 2021 INSTEAD OF A BLANK WITH THE DATE NOV. O3?

I called NuStar relations today to inform them at on this site on the right side of the NuStar front page there is an error on the EPS Consnsous Dot chart or the most recent 2Q posting. On the chart it is incorrectly marked as Nov 2Q BLANK. it should show a positive green dot. ONLY RED DOTS show for the last 4 Quarters. The Woman who called me bcked inform me they been working with yahoo to correct the mistake.

Well, if you wanna make 50 cents per share on the A shares, they gave you Tues and Wed to get in. Won't last forever, esp since its callable in Dec.

Why not try a new concept like pay yourselves less and put those savings and the 250 million to pay down more debt so that in the forseeable future you actually pay a premium to the shareholders a return to a better dividend.

Looks like the effect of the pandemic is going to create a new trading range of share price about half of what the stock’s potential was prior to this calamity. Right now it may have been a relief that the distribution wasn’t cut more than a third, but if the share price stays in this new range, I fear it will give management and the board every excuse to reduce it further since the yield is so high compared to interest rates. I sure would like to see management reduce their compensation to show they are team players with the shareholders, but they are now firmly established at preserving their image as being worker/ employee friendly with not as much concern for shareholders. (One thing they could do would be to suspend all stock options granted to executives as bonus, but that would never happen out of fear of losing talent).

Is the total face value of the preferred at NS $1.4 Billion?

Notes offered is a refinancing of existing notes plus money for capital projects. NS has good cash flow and a solid business model. I've owned it for about a year and I buy more on any dips below $25.00. The dividend is nice and if you're looking for an MLP with growth potential NS is a good choice. If you're looking for a more established company try Plains All American PAA or Enterprise Transfer ET. I sold my BLP upon news of their buyout and invested all in NS.

I haven't followed NS all that long yet but mainly the energy sector. What is to keep NS from having a nice share price recovery once it has had a couple good quarters, post restructuring, and the earnings history returns back to positive territory ?

Outstanding news on facilities coming on line. Expansion projects completed and more scheduled in the near-term. This should go to top line revenue and bottom line net this quarter. 4th quarter should have the full effect. This additional capacity is just the kind of progress we all have been waiting for with NS. Congrats.

I'm here Luke. I almost sold out. Just wanted to see if the 3rd Qtr distribution was intact - and it was. So for the 40 cents per share and the prospects for an oil market recovery I hung in there. I have diversified into WMB and KMI (2 mid stream companies). All three seem to be riding the oil market recovery. Hope it continues.

With the much higher distribution coverage ratio and debt approaching sub 4.0, could an increase in the distribution be in the cards in 19 ?
