There is a fertilizer shortage around the world caused by supply chain issues...My neighbours have made the orders few months ago and still not received...

Hits 70-71 and slumps 2.50 to 3.00 within two hours--this is becoming frustrating!

Congrats NTR longs!! I like to come back here from time to time and congratulate you all b/c it was a hard fought journey. Enjoy the dividends you will be raking in too. Just remember to take some out when it gets overheated. The good times only last for so long in the commodity space.
All the best and happy holidays, B

Corteva last week named ex-Nutrien head Chuck Magro as its chief executive officer, after its previous CEO retired under activist investor Starboard Value LP's push to oust him.

So does NTR do a merger of equals with Corteva and pushes Magro out as CEO again. Just half kidding, but with the AG business on fire I wouldn't be surprised if M&A starts happening in this space soon.

Profit taking at 91 and drops to 86.98....is stepping over dollars to pick up pennies....see the earnings and the fertilizer prices today. This has 100+ written all over it

My guess is NTR is being traded along with MOS and IPI in ETFs and other basket securities, and is simply caught in the tide. This often happens when basket traded equities have divergent earnings reports, but the price action is usually sorted out in future near term trading sessions. If that holds true, we should see a healthy rebound for NTR, not so much for MOS and others with poor ER results.

Does NTR currently have higher earnings per share than NVDA? Just not sure if I am reading that right

Hard to believe this entire week of selling following a stellar earnings report + upward guidances for the overall Potash market & next year EPS numbers on Monday still has not stopped. In my opinion, the paucity of upgrades from the different investment houses following the ER is the primary driver for the senseless selling.

) with a US$80.00 target price after the company reported record third-quarter results on high demand for fertilizers.

"We remain positive on Nutrien ( NTR ) as strong ag fundamentals continue to support favourable crop input demand and fertilizer prices.

While we do not expect fertilizer prices to remain at 10-15 year highs, we foresee elevated price ranges through at least 2023 driving outsized FCF generation and share price upside," the investment bank noted.

Great earnings and it opens at a new 52 week high and then drops 5% from that new high. I can't
figure that out unless there is some news I have not seen yet.

I said earlier we needed to be north of $1.25/share in earnings to rally and we only hit $1.25 so no rally. At least we didn't miss like MOS which is down 10%.
The pros know that Wall Street is a forward pricing machine and yesterday's stock price already include last nights expected earnings number and amateurs see a 400% earning gain and can't figure out why the stock isn't moving upward.

Anyone think Nutrient shares will reach $100 by next summer? Paying down debt is the better option for me.

I'm quite surprised to see such a big company, relative to market cap, and such a quiet board. I've recently invested in this company on the dip to 66 dollars but do find it a bit strange that there aren't more people on this board. Out of curiosity, anyone else here from Colorado? I know before the merger and all that, the retail headquarters was located out here in Loveland.

Couldnt be happier

People bailing before earnings. With commodity prices near ATH... being out of this is short sighted
