New Residential Investment (NRZ) was a favorite of several analysts who cover mortgage real estate investment trusts earlier this year. It owns mortgage servicing rights, which tend to get more valuable when rates rise since mortgage holders are less likely to refinance. Analyst Jason Weaver wrote: The shares are relatively close to our price target and concern may be growing that NRZ will be caught up in State AG’s and the CFPB’s lawsuits against Ocwen Financial (OCN).
