Adrian Day's latest newsletter on PAAS is extremely bullish:

"Pan American (PAAS, Nasdaq, 22.99) reported that the legislature in the Argentine province of Chubut approved a bill allowing for open pit mining in certain areas, a measure voided five days later by the executive following protests. The measure would have allowed Pan American’s world-class Navidad to proceed. Given the foreign exchange restrictions in Argentina, the company is likely is no great rush to proceed, preferring to move ahead first with the re-start of the huge Escobal project in Guatemala.
Notwithstanding the protests and repeal, the fact that the legislature passed the measure in the first place shows some progress. Pan American has demonstrated patience and a willingness to work with the province to amend its mine plan in order to gain more support. The area of the province where the mine would be located is remote and needs

jobs. The opposition mostly comes from other parts of the province where wealthy Argentinians have second homes and from anti-mining protect groups. Eventually, it will receive approval, we believe.
The share price jumped 14% when the bill was originally approved to just over $25. The double-whammy of the reversal on the mining approval as well as silver price weakness, saw the stock price slide back. At this level, Pan American is a very strong buy."

Mr Day is am expert I hugely respect and am glad is on board with me. PAAS to the moon, in just a few years, starting from the first half of this year. I am very impressed and hopeful with this brilliant metals miner. Good luck, everyone :)

It appears the pumpers are out in full force on this discussion board. Too bad my philosophy is to go against consensus with a sector that has had an unprecedented downturn over the past year.

It appears to me that when the virus wave has ended, and economies are operating on all cylinders, all of the commodities with be in huge demand.

I'm establishing a position today, and anticipate a good ride.

FWIW. It has been announced officially today that Fenix nickel mine in Guatemala is allowed to reopen. This mine was stopped in circumstances similar to Escobal and had to go through consultation process similar to what Escobal is moving through now.

2021 was a difficult year for gold/silver stocks and it was especially challenging for this stock. Hopefully, next year will be better here, especially, regarding Escobal re-opening; this is the most important single item here for next year.
Please, accept my best wishes for 2022. This goes to all PAAS shareholders with just a couple exceptions.

Nice day for PAAS. And nice few weeks for EPU as it's up 20% from where I recommended it just 3 1/2 weeks ago while a certain someone chastised me for bringing it up due to its past performance (of which I had no interest). He then compared it to the S&P and how poorly EPU performed, even though I was talking about its future performance potential. The S&P is down 4% in that time. Get used to this. Emerging markets will smoke 'USA' stocks going forward.

I have to post again about Peru, because couple fools, aka kbot and his aliases and shills, continue disseminating lies about the coverage of the issue on this board. Half year ago, before Peruvian elections, I posted that the market assumes bad consequences for miners in the country, if leftwing candidate wins. Unfortunately, he really won, and miners did suffer consequences. One can just look at stocks with substantial exposure to Peru. The elections produced longterm factor: negative investment sentiment. This factor causes to interpret every collision in Peru internal politics as harmful to miners. It does not even matter whether particular collision produces tangible harm to particular miner or mining profits. The market has ability to apply discounts and premium to financial results depending on geopolitical risks. This is called market sentiment.
Now I have to repeat again that I never assumed or posted that the mines would be nationalized. However, I do not consider someone having such assumption as committing a big mistake. A real mistake was producing silly pump about this stock, ignoring and obfuscating any risks, when it was still possible to exit position at high price.

It was a marvelous show on this board today. I feel obliged to express gratitude to unknown person(s) supporting me with thumbs. Personally, I use thumbs too, sparingly, just to neutralize down thumbs, propagated by attackers. Btw, one of the thread brought in an ugly snout of alias “Tom” a schizo, following me on all boards with two down thumbs to every message.
Hey, “kbot”, it seems alias “Tom” loves you, he gave you 2 up thumbs, his most cherished item of wealth. He is always on look for kin spirits. If you continue trolling for couple more years, you can reach the necessary level to befriend the schizo. Way to go “kbot”.

Chubut situation made another turn with the Governor repealing new mining law, which he promoted for long time, and calling for referendum. It looks like a purely political step. The governor gambles trying to rebuild popular support and prolong own political life beyond 2023 elections. Will it work for him? Who knows and anyway this is not very important. Hope, PAAS investors, sane part, understand that Escobal means substantially more than Navidad for this stock.

No, to answer a text, WE do not own the shills. We just interpret the Whales like JPM that DO own the shills, via Master Chartisanship!!! Keep up and stop round tripping and averaging down .... we will show you how (when you are READY to learn from The Big DAwgz!)
