Paychex turned in better-than-expected quarterly earnings and sales but guidance seemed to be weighing on shares. For its fiscal fourth quarter ended May 31, the payroll-services company reported adjusted earnings of $1.12 a share, beating Wall Street’s call for $1.10, according to FactSet. A year ago, earnings per share were 97 cents.
