This is an okay stock for its type, but the endless phone harassment strongly tempts me to sell. If you don't submit a proxy vote when it comes time to approve board members and compensation (always a worthless exercise unless you have a Buffett-like number of shares) you'll get multiple phone calls a day for weeks on end. Nor do they ever identify themselves when they leave messages on your phone. As you can imagine, I'm not the type who answers the phone unless I recognize the number as belonging to someone I actually want to talk to -- call it poor man's Caller ID if you will.

Looks like DRIP price will be the best we've seen since April. For long haulers, that is a good thing

On the conference call discussing Q1 results and the $0.06 monthly dividend, John Barry said "Our goal over the long term is to maintain and ideally grow this steady monthly cash shareholder distribution..." That would be nice, although the dividend has remained steady since 2017. It would be great to see even a special dividend announced by the company since they exceeded the "distribution rate per common share by $0.04" in both 2021 Q4 and now 2022 Q1. Any chance that happens?

last 8 quarters, PSEC has posted the greatest gain in NAV of any BDC! 25% increase. sweet.

Earnings just released. Looks like they could have just copied the last earnings report and issued it. Same $0.22 Net Investment Income, same $0.06 dividend for the next 4 months, and a minor (2%) increase in the NAV.

I rarely look at mesage boards - amazed at negative posters. If you believe the company is poorly managed, why not sell and spend time doing something positive.

Does anyone have any perspective on the PSEC proxy asking for a vote in favor of more new Common Stock issuance ? Will that Dilution reduce the per share Dividend paid ? If the new common shares are being issued (sold) at less than NAV , which is what the Proxy says is an option for PSEC management , then won't the EPS be reduced - so the Dividend payout would also be reduced ??
Please correct me if I misunderstand the process described in the PSEC proxy statement and request for shareholder vote. Thank you.

What would cause PSEC to delay their earnings report???? Trying to decide if this is a buying opportunity.

From the Prospect website - Our investment objective is to generate both current income and long-term capital appreciation through debt and equity investments.

If you bought PSEC back in 2007 in the 17s, you have lost about $10/share and your current yield on cost is around 4%. Your capital appreciation isn't happening... Your dividends are decreasing... This is a good deal ???

Compare HTGC to PSEC. Look at max chart and div yield. Then make the change. Your welcome.

While id DO love the opportunity to pick this up on dips, this move is a tad disconcerting since I can't seem to find any news to justify it...
Does anybody have anything to share?

I remember there was a guy here that used to promote DRIP PSEC and hold long term. That has sure been bad advice.

I really dont mind picking up more shares than normal at these prices and locking them away and letting the dividends do the rest... Its a marathon folks, not a sprint...

Based on today's closing price of $8.42, the "DRIP through DTC" price will be $7.999 when shares are issued this week. Another month in the books!
