Intel has filed a statement with the U.S. International Trade Commission alleging that Qualcomm is trying to squash its competition using the courts.
Needham & Co. Qualcomm posted a fiscal-third-quarter earnings beat in part due to strength within the Chinese market with strong pricing and growth in adjacent markets (although the stock is selling off due to Apple overhang). Lastly we reaffirm our belief that the NXP Semiconductors (NXPI) deal will be completed by end of year and would not be surprised if the offer price was increased. While the Apple (AAPL) lawsuit is clearly an overhang, this brief note looks at the possible readthroughs to our coverage space.
