Admittedly, stalling retail sales data in the past quarter doesn’t bode well for Royal Mail shares. However, there are glimmers of hope that the firm may not be as badly affected as initially thought. A recent report by the Office for National Statistics provided a couple of positive takeaways.

To complement this, the latest results from packaging company DS Smith were encouraging too. Revenues were up 21% on an annual basis, with management attributing the improvement to higher demand for cardboard boxes, like those Royal Mail often delivers. Even though DS Smith’s results may not have a direct correlation, it does show that packages are still in high demand. And I’d assume that Royal Mail would benefit to some extent from delivering such parcels.

Analysts covering Royal Mail are predicting a slowdown in both its top and bottom lines for the current financial year. The board painted a gloomy picture for the group in its Q4 earnings call, which sent the share price crashing. Lockdown tailwinds have dissipated, and the logistics group is locked in discussions with staff over its latest pay round, with the threat of possible strike action. Pair that with a slowing British economy and high fuel costs, and it seems to me that the only way for its share price to go is down. Making matters worse, EPS for its current year has seen a steady decline from £0.54 to £0.45 over the last 90 days. Nonetheless, if revenue figures come in above 2020 levels, there could be a surprise rally.

Yes. Competitors are expanding and get better. Hermes is to build a huge warehouse and employ 1400+. DPD is well organised and updating their systems, vans and lowering prices. DX drivers pick up items at specific times and can deliver late evening when people are at home. More documents can be emailed and signed online [DocuSign, Adobe]. No need for sending letters by post. From what I saw at the local post office, only elderly people use their service. RM don't have a great management team, real plans for the future and no idea why they're there. They only make money when XMAS comes. That's not enough. I don't have a crystal ball but I wouldn't be surprised if RMG drops another 30% by the end of 2020 eating up 7% dividend.

We use Royal Mail for all our e-commerce orders in our business, RM have a high delivery success rate, much better than the other major parcel delivery companies (from our experience) RM will pick up the lost letter traffic from the continued increase in e-commerce in the UK thus driving demand for Parcel business. In my opinion UK households become familiar with their “postie” and get used to what time the postman calls, which is why the delivery success rate is so good.

Already 30% down this year, Royal Mail stock has continued sinking. The FTSE 250 constituent released its FY22 results today. With many declines in key metrics and a gloomy outlook, the Royal Mail share price could be in for a tough time.

Reckon that RMG.L can get to 600 at the end of the year, might sell at that point. According to Simply Wall St the company is servicing its debt very well. here's hoping!

Bitcoin maximum so far was 19,000 dollars and atm it is around 9,000 dollars, potential returns if all goes to normal:
    -not even double.

Royal Mail maximum so far 631 pounds and atm it is around 160, potential returns if all goes to normal and new centers coming to add to the equation:
    - 4 times more, worse case scenario 2.5 0r 3 times more.

    (1) The RMG are going to Post RECORD Profits in next few days (2) The Strike will NOT be going ahead (so someone ,who I cannot mention, whispered in my ear !!. They will come to a deal, with NO strike at all.

There is MUCH MORE upside than downside with RMG.
