Skanska CEO to resign in 2018 after decade at the helm

Skanska's (SKAb.ST) Chief Executive Johan Karlstrom will step down in April 2018 after a decade at the helm of the Swedish construction company that built the bridge linking Sweden and Denmark. Karlstrom, who joined Skanska in 1983 and has been chief executive since 2008, said his decision to leave was not based on any disagreements with the board about strategy. Karlstrom, 61, said he would resign from the Skanska board at its April annual shareholder meeting but would stay on as a senior adviser until the end of January 2019, the resignation date stipulated in his contract.

Committee to select new construction management adviser for Tanger Center

Greensboro Coliseum Complex Director Matt Brown will preside over an internal building committee meeting Wednesday at the ACC Hall of Champions to select a construction manager adviser (CMA) for the Steven B. Tanger Center for the Performing Arts, Coliseum Complex spokesman Andrew Brown told Triad Business Journal. Matt Brown, who is overseeing the estimated $80-million, downtown Tanger project along North Elm Street , could not be reached for comment by Triad Business Journal on Tuesday. Andrew Brown told Triad Business Journal that Phase I contractor D.H. Griffin Construction was scheduled to begin work on July 15 — though Matt Brown hopes it may begin earlier — and that its site work should take about three months.
