What shorts haven't understood over the past three years is that longs didn't want them destroyed, its just that short money has accelerated long profits.

The degree to which shorts were financially and personally ruined is just an unfortunate byproduct.

Cramer just said Evan Spiegel, Snapchat's Founder/CEO, is the "real deal", and recommended SNAP on the Lightning Round.

Shorts have gone the way of the Dodo Bird.

Fascinating how nature, and investing principles, shed the weak from the earth.

The issue i had with Snap for a long time it had poor revenue streams. However, they have shown in 2020 that this has changed. This is due to the many features snap has at exploiting Ad revenue (the discovery feature is the main reason for this).

In am 21 years old from the UK. I do not use snapchat and non of my friends do. But you talk to the youth <18/17 they love it. They prefer it to things such as Whatsapp Facebook messenger etc.

Yes it is true there is TikTok, however, i find this a poor comparison. Snap is the main platform the youth use today.

Furthermore, Snap has shown again and again innovative features they an add which leads to their growth in users.

I am very sure that long term there is growth great steady growth room for snap.

Maybe i am wrong but as the ad revenue continues to strengthen the Losses Snap records will continue to decrease and we could start to see the rise of a rather niche but profitable social media company.

Snap is already valued at 100B, with no profits in sight.
Based on what, exactly, will the stock go higher? Seems a plateau may have been reached before it starts to come back down.
    Good luck to all.

Anyone here actually use Snapchat? I’ve been on the platform for several years bought at 18 and watched it dip to 9 but held and still holding. If you’re serious with investing in this stock use it and then you’ll understand the hype.

Snap stock has been on fire for the past two quarters, and the catalyst is obvious: better-than-expected earnings. Its share price has more than doubled from under $30 to over $60. Every dip has been bought, and every breakout chased along the way, giving it a fantastic track record of rewarding trend followers.
Since exploding higher following its Feb. 4 report, SNAP stock has been basing sideways in a narrow high base. Friday’s high volume ramp signaled the consolidation was ending and a new advance beginning. With earnings in the rearview mirror, implied volatility has dropped to the bottom end of its range, making options premiums cheap.

PE= 6.700 if we assume SNAP get their first profit ever 12,5M $ in 2021. IF TSLA is overrated, SNAP is the mother. There are 1.25B shares outstanding.

2 years ago, I remember checking the Snap board regularly and seeing people mock the stock when it was around $10 and going lower (many here thought they were going out of business or would need to be acquired), but boy have things changed. Congrats to those of you who bought years ago and stayed long!

In the past years, like Snapchat, Facebook and apple company has already begun to increase investment in the field of AR, now AR and VR is ready to scale, the market will be at a 59% compound annual growth rate of growth in the next five years, from $3 billion to more than $28 billion in five years, at the same time, the whole virtual sector revenue will reach $400 billion by 2025.

Bought more SNAP shares on the bottom this morning. It's not a trade, it's a long term investment, but this would've been an excellent trade if I sold here at the close. 11 percent plus return is not bad for one day.
