8 days and 12 hrs. from closing on the sale of my business of 22 years. Not walking away. Running and as you can see not counting the minutes. Train wreck of epic proportions coming for small business. And all by design.

Workers are picking up extra jobs just to pay for gas and food
Prices are rising faster than wages, and more Americans than ever are working two full-time jobs simultaneously

It's too early to get short IMHO. Maybe re-assess mid week. There's still bullishness in the market here. The 200DMA on the S & P is a 430, the other indexed, QQQ's and IWM still have more in the tank IMHO. I was short for 1 day and closed it out. There's still more people out there with their toes in the water, it's not going to roll over, until they jump in. JMHO.

I'm not sure what CPI will show on Wednesday. I am sure that a six pack of Pepsi 20oz bottles was 3 for $9 at Memorial Day, 3 for $11 at July 4th and now 3 for $12 at Labor Day. So inflation maybe slowing but its still moving higher.

Think about it.......late 2019.......The U.S. was already headed into Recession, Powell had to start cutting rates and there was.
a). No Covid - well ( that we knew much about )
    b). Corporate Earnings had topped
    c.) No War in Ukraine
    d.) Oil was $50 a barrel
e.) No one worried about inflation eating away at their retirements
f.) Nancy stayed home and hidden in her basement during the Riots. and didn't bother China.
$10 TRILLION LATER..........nothing has changed. We are still heading into recession, only 10X's worse.

    Bidenomics 101

    1. Cause massive inflation through the creation of endless "cheap" money via impossibly low interest rates, and direct money printing (stimulus of all sorts).
    2. Fix inflation by destroying demand (the consumer) by cutting off the cheap money and halting economic growth, BUT keep printing endless free money for yourself (the government).

if markets went up 8% on a fed pivot. it should at least give those gains back.
