“SSE reported a decent set of numbers in its FY22 earnings this week. The firm generated profits of £1.5bn last year, and expects to make even more this year from high energy prices. But a windfall tax from the British government soured investor sentiment, sending the SSE share price down by almost 10%. Still, outgoing non-executive director Dame Angela Strank acquired a respectable number of shares.”

Director dealings can indicate whether a company's doing well. So, here are this week's director dealings from three of the FTSE's top firms.

It looks like we have another bidding war about to happen. What will the share price reach?

like this share - massive investment in renewables (especially wind farms) and upgrades coming re new infrastucture for electric vehicles etc & other goodies - Mumping going on about borrowing - But borrowing very, very cheap just now - Investment in Windfarms and electric generally only going to be a good thing with the coming death of O&G as fuel - This is going to be a different company in a couple of years - If they can keep the bonus going up over next decade then thats a great bonus as well - one for a short term bump and the pension pot - Surprised if this doesnt do 50 - 100% within next 3 years - very undervalued IMHO

Amazon could buy both Morrisons and Asda . That would balance the supermarket business and be a great investment I think

SSE will be reversing customer declines rapidly as it mops up crashed reseller companies, just as the gas price has fallen for a week, despite media hype to the contrary.

SSE looking healthy in a downward market so far. tempted to buy in had it in my watchlist for a while and owned it not so long ago. With the already bleak energy price forcast even before Putin's attention grabbing and expected fallout it looked attractive. Then there's the mpdest regular dividend to add and state support of the company...Noticed it's REALLY quiet in the comments though, would really appreciate any thoughts buy those who own shares if possible???

I do have shares in Amazon but I do not agree, this would create very rich mega Buissness and probably no competition?
