Partial backup, saving some powder for lower prices. The March 2020 low was about 18. Any price near 20 would require a bigger truck.
K
March 2020 low about 18, Big buyer then.

I have this fund for about 10 years and really enjoyed the quarterly distributions of $0.4625 / share. The past year valuation of the fund + the quarterly distributions have been incredible!
K
Rock steady dist. Of $.46 quart. for 11 yrs Thanks for the 2019 ZO6.
K
Keep in mind your " buying the dividend " and it's like your getting some of your investment back and this will go directly to your income tax. If you don't mind paying that, then buy on.

Very, very happy with STK, not just today, but for the past several years... dividends + capital distribution have been great in addition to its appreciation!!! Beyond that there's another ~3.5% to be paid in January with ex-dividend date of December 10th which by the way is not the first time it's paid out... Even though a bit 'expensive' today, added 800 shares to my portfolio to take advantage of the additional capital distribution. STK holders should be celebrating the awesome 2021 and hoping we can continue the momentum in 2022!!!
K
This fund has has annualized return of 15.58% back to inception in 2009. Check it on buyupside.

Yahoo kills another communication method w/their improvements.

Ready to backup the truck if price gets to a $29 handle.

STK...the gift that keeps on giving
K
GOOGL splitting in Jul. 20/1. Up pre-mkt 11%.

They declare a large special dividend and the stock goes down a lot?
K
Glad I took advantage of the buying opp. last Fri.
K
Dollar cost averaging purchases using my spreadsheet and price history.
K
Done buying for now, STK makes payments on the 22 GT 500.

Still worth consideration as core holding in a portfolio the performance has been a bit mediocre for a specialty tech fund. The standard fund for me is the Fidelity select Technology fund(FSPTX) which has been around for a very long time, has good management and low fees. That fund is up 16% a year in the last decade vs STK which is up just 12%. BST is the closed end standard and that fund has also outperformed STK the time it has been in existence. There is now a second Blackrock tech fund with the same management BSTZ.
The yield is not that important because you can sell shares of any fund to raise cash in your brokerage account and transfer it to your bank.
I like the fund but at this time I would prefer BST or FSPTX over STK.
P
Research DUOS Technologies (DUOT). It may be of interest.
K
Buying opportunity?, will add a small portion, and monitor.
K
STK now down about 22% from high, I'm increasing my dollar cost avg. allotment.
K
Down about 11% from the high, not sure if this is the buying opp., stay tuned, time is on our side, as the song goes. Just keep some funds ready to use. Unless you have a payment due on your new C8 Vette, just wait for now.
Big buyer then.
