AST SpaceMobile shares jumped more than 70% on Wednesday and hit their highest level since November 2022 after the satellite communication company announced a new direct-to-cellular tie-up with Verizon Communications. The two companies early Wednesday announced the partnership, which AST SpaceMobile said would allow it to target 100% coverage of the continental United States from space on premium 850 MHz cellular spectrum. Verizon is committing $100 million to the partnership.
The cellular broadband network provider have surged, boosted by recent deals with Verizon Communications and AT&T.
