Charter Communications (NASDAQ: CHTR) and AT&T (NYSE: T), two telecom giants, have carved up the Time Warner empire. Charter bought Time Warner Cable, which was spun off from Time Warner in 2009, along with its sister company Bright House Networks in 2016. AT&T bought the rest of Time Warner in 2018.
T-Mobile (NASDAQ: TMUS) managed to outperform its rivals Verizon (NYSE: VZ) and AT&T (NYSE: T) in the third quarter despite a few headwinds in its business. Despite T-Mobile's excellent results, it still has several opportunities to continue adding subscribers over the next few years. T-Mobile's postpaid phone churn rate in the third quarter was 0.9%.
While the top management from AT&T (T) offers a business update to ally investor fears, Nokia (NOK) inks a strategic deal with TELUS to expand the Canadian carrier's 5G offerings.
