    Tuesday Morning going back to its roots to improve profits

    Reaching back to its roots is key to Tuesday Morning Corp.’s return to profitability, its chief operating officer said Thursday. Melissa Phillips, who was promoted to the Dallas retailer’s president and COO position in May 2015, discussed the company’s turnaround at an annual retail summit hosted by the Center for Retailing Studies at Texas A&M University. Tuesday Morning (TUES) is the third turnaround project Phillips has worked with, having previously served in leadership role at Home Depot Home Decorators Collection and lifestyle brand Smith and Hawken.
