The drumbeat of recession calls are growing louder — and one key question is whether that outlook has been priced into stocks. Strategists have increasingly warned that equities could see even more declines, with one saying the S&P 500 (^GSPC) could drop another 15% or so. "3,200 on the S&P is very attainable," Matt Maley, equity strategist at Miller Tabak, told Yahoo Finance Live (video above). "The thing is, people keep saying that the recession is getting priced into the stock market. I think it’s just barely beginning to be priced in." Tightening financial conditions have been a key factor adding to bearish investor sentiment.

Looks like $TGT wants to go sub $20/share.
S
Lot of support at that $116 range going back 2 years. Do we go that low?
S
Back to $140 or re-test of the lows
S
New 52 week low. Looks like $125 soon

I shop online at walmart now. Much better customer service than Target. Who lost my tennis racket.
E
I think given the problems it can test $65.00 a share.
R
Buy under $140 all day long
J
How much of inventory they holding that can’t sell ? I think tgt will drop below 100
J
Play the ups and downs if you will, but long term? Think of Sears
D
I’m waiting for the panic selling to kick in. Perhaps by Friday or next week sometime...
A
Wmt and amz both positioned better for an economic downturn...
K
I don’t get it, amzn has a prime day to sell off inventory, why doesn’t tgt advertise a two day or so of big sales to rid its over inventory? I never see ads for sales. This would be the time to do it.
P
How is this not a good deal? TGT is not going anywhere. It will come out of this downturn as a very attractive company.
R
Limit buy order set at $137.00
J
Buy now for that lovely recovery profit
H
Getting back to 2019, pre pandemic levels. Stock is undervalued.
J
If you are not looking at great companies now with dividends over 4% you are not seeing a historic opportunity in value...

Went to target, today around 2 pm. Store was busy except for much expanded grocery section. Clothing prices were very cheap, I bought a nice t shirt for 5 bucks, and another for 7. How do they make money at those prices?
C
Don't get it, with inflation rocketing higher monthly at record rates, inventory is a good thing, it becomes more valuable. Besides don't we have a supply chain problem with higher and higher transportation costs?
