With weeks left before the $200 million Irving Music Factory opens to thousands of fans on Labor Day weekend for sold-out shows featuring comedian Dave Chappelle, the developer is adding a third shift of construction workers to wrap up the project anchored by Live Nation Entertainment Inc. (LYV). "This is such a massive project at any given time we have more than 1,000 people working on the project ... it's challenging to see where you are. The project's third 8-hour shift will consist mostly of finish-out work, with certain trades lagging behind others — pushing the finish out of the 8,000-seat, Live Nation-anchored convertible concert venue and 250,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space with 25 concepts within the 17-acre development.
